SPOON SPORTS has released a new MOTION CONTROL BEAM FRONT/REAR for FL1/FL5.

想定される入力値からダンパーサイズを適正化し、従来よりコンパクトなボディにすることで地上高の確保と軽量化を実現しました。

By optimizing the damper size based on the expected load values and making the body more compact than before, we have achieved both high ground contact and weight reduction.

『モーションコントロールビーム』は、走行時に最も捩れが生じてしまうボディ前後の剛性を特殊構造のダンパーで制御することにより、コーナリング時の回頭性をはじめ、ストリートユースにおける快適性・上質感を向上させる製品です。

The “Motion Control Beam” is a product designed to improve ride comfort and quality during street use and enhance cornering stability by controlling body flex, especially front-rear rigidity, with a specially structured damper.

コーナリング時に発生するボディの捩れに対し、大きな入力は高反発スプリングが捩れを抑制する方向に働きます。一方で小さい入力は摩擦板の弾性力により、細かく捩れを抑制します。

During cornering, body distortion can occur. This product works to suppress large inputs with high-rebound springs. At the same time, it suppresses minor vibrations using the elasticity of friction plates.

この一定ではない捩れの入力を別々に制御させることで、幅のある抑制を行うことが可能となりました。

By separately controlling the various types of vibrations that occur, it has become possible to provide a wide range of vibration suppression.
