[IMPORTANT] Notice and Apology Regarding the CRANE NECK WING 84112-FL5-000 (FL5) and Request for Free Replacement

このたび、弊社が販売したFL5用「CRANE NECK WING（品番：84112-FL5-000）」の一部製品において、ウイングを車体に固定する基台の接着部に、製造上の不備があることが判明いたしました。当該不備により、使用状況によっては基台の接着部付近にクラックが発生する場合があります。（ページ下部「① 不具合箇所のご報告」「② 不具合箇所の破損例」ご参照）

弊社において確認を行った結果、クラックが発生した状態でも、本製品の使用に必要な強度は確保されており、当該クラックが原因となって直ちにウイングが脱落するおそれはございませんが、本来の設計強度からは不足しております。また、このようなクラックが発生することは製品品質上、本来あるべき状態ではないことから、対象となる基台を対策品へ無償で交換いたします。

製造元の製造記録等について調査を行いましたが、製造上の不備が生じた時期を特定することができませんでした。そのため、対象期間を限定せず、［販売開始から対策品への切替えまでに出荷したすべての製品／弊社がこれまでに出荷したすべての製品］の基台のうち、クラックが確認された製品に関しまして交換対象といたします。

① 不具合箇所のご報告

不具合内容：
下記赤丸部の基台の接着不良により、クラックが発生する可能性があります。 クラックが発生することで直ちにウィングが脱落する事はございませんが、本来の基台強度が不足しておりますので対策品に交換をお願いいたします。

改善内容：
基台内部の製造工程を変更し、より強い設計強度を設定するとともに、設計強度が保持できる製造作業を徹底するよう改善いたしました。

[IMPORTANT] Notice and Apology Regarding the CRANE NECK WING 84112-FL5-000 (FL5) and Request for Free Replacement

We have identified a manufacturing issue affecting the bonded area of the mounting bases that secure the CRANE NECK WING for the FL5 (Part No. 84112-FL5-000) to the vehicle. Depending on the conditions of use, this issue may cause cracks to develop around the bonded area of the mounting bases. Please refer to “1. Location and Details of the Issue” and “2. Examples of Cracking” below.

Our inspection has confirmed that, even if a crack develops, the product retains sufficient strength for use and does not present an immediate risk of the wing detaching as a result of the crack. However, the strength of the affected mounting base falls below the originally specified design strength. Furthermore, the occurrence of such cracking does not meet the level of product quality that we require. We will therefore replace affected mounting bases with improved parts free of charge.

We investigated the manufacturing records of the supplier but were unable to determine the specific period during which the manufacturing issue occurred. Therefore, without limiting the applicable manufacturing period, we will replace mounting bases on products in which cracking is confirmed from among:

Important Request to Customers

If you own the affected product and find a crack in either mounting base, please submit an application using the free replacement form below. SPOON will cover the cost of the improved replacement parts, shipping, and the labor required for installation.

1. Location and Details of the Issue

Product name and part number:

Description of the issue:
Insufficient bonding in the area of the mounting base circled in red below may cause cracks to develop.

Although a crack does not present an immediate risk of the wing detaching, the affected mounting base does not meet the originally specified design strength. We therefore ask customers with confirmed cracking to have the mounting bases replaced with the improved parts.

Corrective measures:
We have revised the internal manufacturing process for the mounting bases, adopted a higher design-strength specification, and strengthened production controls to ensure that the specified strength is consistently maintained.
