The Honda\u2019s air intake system is renowned for its\ninnovative method to control the intake pulsation of the normally aspirated\nengine, optimizing the response and drivability. It is a high-performance air\nintake system distinctively designed to lower the intake air temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Air Cleaner for the CIVIC TYPE R (FL5) has been\ndeveloped to maximize the potential of the air intake system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Increasing the material density of the air filter allows\nfor a greater particle collection capability but decreases the air flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using filter materials with lower density may allow for\ngreater air flow, however, you trade in the particle removal capabilities. More\nthan that, the excessive air flow may cause a decrease in lower-end torque thus\nhampering the overall drivability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The filtration material of our Air Cleaner was carefully\ndeveloped, optimizing the torque\/power output on the dyno and undergoing\nnumerous real world road testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
